BIRTH, DEATH AND ADOPTION
The Births, Deaths and Adoptions Division is responsible for processing the registration of births and deaths in Brunei Darussalam, processing registration for adopted children , issuing extracts or commonly known as copies of birth, death and adoption certificates. Birth, death and adoption certificates are basically required for birth certificates for school registration, applications for smart identity cards, travel documents, citizenship, death certificates for insurance claims, estate distribution matters, remarriage and adoption registration certificates for proof of status or position of the adopted child.
