The 43rd citizenship certificate presentation ceremony was held on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025 ,12th Jamadilakhir 1447 at the BRIDEX Conference Hall, Jerudong.
The presentation of the Citizenship Status certificates was officiated by the Guest of Honour of the Ceremony, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs.
Also present were the Honorable Members of the National Assembly, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Ministry of Home Affairs, Heads of Departments, Senior Officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as Officers and staff of the Immigration and National Registration Department.
A total of 1361 people received the Certificate of Citizenship after receiving the blessing of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The recipients are those who applied for Brunei Darussalam citizenship under the Brunei National Status Act, Chapter 15, namely under Chapter 5(1) and 8(1) and have passed the Malay Language Test in writing and orally, under Chapter 6(1) which consists of children of Bruneian citizen mothers, children of Bruneian citizen fathers and adopted children of Bruneian citizen adoptive parents and also under Chapter 5(6) consisting of wives of Bruneian citizen husbands.
